SHAMITABH Had Poor Day One
After disastrous beginning of 2015 with flops ''Tevar'' and ''Khamoshiyan'', below par to average ''Baby'', below average ''Dolly Ki Doli'', disastrous ''Hawaizaada'', there is not much hope for any releases this weekend. Amitabh Bachchan starrer ''Shamitabh'' looks a niche film and will struggle at box office.

''Shamitabh'' opened to average to good reviews as expected (check our preview and review sections where we predicted the same) but that will not help film''''s cause as it opened to poor occupancies. Film was somewhat better in metros but film has really poor opening across the country.
Film
is poor in Gujarat with lower than 10% opening and similar is the case
in central India. Film is somewhat better in Mysore, Mumbai city and NCR
with around 15% occupancy. Film needed big jump from evening onwards
for even a decent opening day number. Filmcollected close to 2.65 cr
nett on day one and still it will be a poor number (and its a same
number what we predicted in morning.
Below is the breakdown of collection for the film -
