Shruti Haasan sings for sister Akshara Haasan's Shamitabh
After making her singing debut with him at the age of six, Shruti Haasan sings for music maestro Ilaiyaraaja after 5 years for Shamitabh which is also the debut Bollywood film of her sister Akshara Haasan.
Says a source, "'Sanatta' brings back the duo - Shruti Haasan and
Ilaiyaraaja after five years. What's more interesting is that she made
her singing debut with him at the age of six for one of her father Kamal
Haasan's Tamil films - Thevar Magan, the original movie that Anil Kapoor's Virasat
was a remake of. And now after all these years, they've come together
yet again to rule the chartbusting tracks list of this year with 'Sannata'.
'Sannata' as a vibe is very different from the song Shruti Haasan sang earlier this year which is 'Joganiyan' for Tevar that became a runaway success as a romantic yet rockish love ballad. 'Sanatta'
is young, contemporary, edgy and quirky - very much like the musical
vibe of Shruti. It has names of various contemporary singers, lyricists,
actors and musicians as part of its lyrics and the creators are hoping
to use elements of beat-boxing as a part of the background music. Along
with the success of 'Joganiyan', the edginess of this track showcasing yet another aspect of Shruti will add to her repertoire."
Well looks like 2015 is already promising to be fabulous for this
stunning lass with 6 releases pan India, two the successful playback
track 'Joganiyan' followed by the release of yet another number 'Sannata' and lots more!
