Kareena Kapoor Khan who is a Hindu Punjabi got married to Saif Ali Khan who is a Muslim in 2012. However, two years after their wedding, some religious groups have apparently started threatening Kareena. Hence, the actress has beefed up her security.
Few weeks ago, a religious group's magazine
had published Kareena’s picture on the cover as a warning against love
jihad. Kareena was targeted by the Vishva Hindu Parishad's (VHP) young
women's wing Durga Vahini. In her magazine she had stated that the Hindu women who married Muslim men should reconvert.

source said, "With the ongoing love jihad debate, Kareena is concerned
about her safety. Unlike a few other stars, she never felt the need to
be escorted or chaperoned, until now."
